Windows Vista Ultimate

Here I will be showing and telling everyone about my experiences with the newest version of Windows, called Windows Vista, formerly codenamed "Longhorn".  I will be reviewing this release, posting screenshots, and probably giving you all tips for buying new computers in the next year. 

My Equipment:

IBM eSeries X345 Server 2U   Dual Xeon 2.4 Ghz, 2GB RAM  (3 X 18GB Ultra320 SCSI drives, 3 x 72GB Ultra 320 Drives w/ IBM ServeRAID 5i controller, redundant power supplies and fans.......

HP LaserJet 2600n Color LaserJet Printer

IBM ThinkPad R32 Laptop, P4 2.0Ghz, 1GB RAM, Windows XP Pro

Dell Dimension 4100, Mepis Linux installed, 20GB HDD, 512MB RAM, w/ some nVidia graphics card.....it's old

HP Pavilion a1050y (I know I sold out and didn't build my own, I just didn't have the time, besides the 17" flat panel was free!)

P4 2.8Ghz, 3GB Kingston HyperX RAM,  nVidia GeForce 7950GT , Soundblaster Live Audigy Pro ZS2 (Only driver that wasn't found automatically), 160GB SATA HDD,  2 X 250GB SATA HDD (RAID 1), Windows Vista Ultimate

Storage:  Sony StorStation AIT3 tape drive, 80GB NAS via XIMETA HDD Enclosure.

Other:  Cisco 2950 24 port switch, Belkin 8 Port KVM, Linksys Wireless N Wireless router, 2 APC UPS Battery Backups, well nevermind, I have a lot of stuff, most of which I got on eBay for next to nothing, or at work.........they didn't want it, so I brought it home...........

 

Desktop - Dream Scene installed.  The water is actually running in the background, which is pretty cool......

Games - Texas Hold'em is a pretty good game........
